The Agitato for clarinet and piano was built in 1965.

The choral prelude "Herzlich thut mich verlangen“ (My inmost heart doth yearn) op. 122 N^o 10 for organ by Johannes Brahms arranged for small strings ensemble and Cello solo by Johannes Bublitz.

The "Weihelied" (consecration song) was composed by Kranzhoff for male choir a cappella in 1933. The choral piece is based on words by Matthias Claudius (1740-1815) and on a melody by Albert Methfessel (1785-1869).

O Magnum Mystery (O Great Mystery), the fourth responsorial chant from the Vigil at Christmas as a four-/five-part Mass by Thomás Luis de Victoria (1548-1611).

This chanson Wegen Du (Because of "You") from 2013 was released in 2015 on the CD Eigenlieder - Blau auf Grau. The premiere took place in July 2017 in the Christianskirche in Hamburg Altona.

The song cycle "Abendliche Welt und feierliche Nacht" (Evening world and solemn night) op. 70 for male choir, soloists and chamber orchestra was written in 1937/38 in Wanne/Essen.

Fynn Jannis Großmann, born in 1992, is active as a saxophone, oboe and double bass player in classical orchestras, jazz bands and cross-over projects. As a member of such ensembles or as a solo artist, he has been awarded numerous prizes (including the Culture Prize of the State of Schleswig-Holstein, Jazz Prize of the Kulturforum Kiel, Jugend Jazzt). His own band project, the Fynn Großmann Quintet, has been awarded several prizes (Young Munich Jazz Prize 2017, Jazz Prize Hannover 2017).

In addition, Fynn Großmann also acts as a composer and arranger. He has written this piece for the jazz big band TonBand, which he has directed since its founding in 2016.

The Westphalian folk song "The Postillion" composed by Kranzhoff as a choral piece a cappella.

Exemplarily, Kranzhoff's linear-polyphonic compositional technique is expressed in his String Quartet No. 2, written in 1932. In addition to powerful passages, the composition also has restrained, very intimate sound structures and an extremely differentiated filigree dynamic.

The choral piece "Glaube" (Faith) is based on the poem "Fichte an jeden Deutschen" (Fichte to every German) by Albert Matthai, which due to its title is often falsely attributed to the German philosopher Johann Gottlieb Fichte. This composition, written in 1934, is an appeal by Kranzhoff to society to actively participate in shaping the future with personal responsibility. In terms of content today as up-to-date as it was then, the work unfolds musically a great and sublime suggestive effect.

Its associations with Broadway in New York and the Champs-Élysées in Paris make this chanson Bredkamp with the subtitle Lullaby of Broadcamp from 2015 a tongue-in-cheek paean to Bredkamp, the street in Hamburg where the composer lives.

In 1818 Johann Georg Christian Apel was appointed the first university music director of the Christian-Albrechts-University Kiel. As a jubilee edition for the 200th anniversary of Apel's appointment, a song volume has already been published here. Gabriel Fauré wrote the Pavane originally for piano and orchestrated it at a later time augmented by an optional choir. The presented arrangement by Ralf Lentschat is designed for a 10 brass emsemble.
