Erik Satie's most famous composition are the Trois Gymnopédies for piano composed in 1888, three references to those dances of younglings in the ancient Sparta, who circle around a Apollon-Statue and dignified the falen troops of the battle of  Thyrea. These pieces are here presented as adaptions for 12 Cellists.

John Philip Sousa's famous American military march "Stars and Stripes Forever" as two winking arrangements for 12 Cellits .

The "Pavane pour une infante défunte" for Piano by Maurice Ravel was arranged for 12 cellists with optional harp by Wilhelm Kaiser-Lindemann.

The motet Sei Lob und Preis mit Ehren, BWV 231 is based on the 2nd movement of the cantata Gottlob! nun geht das Jahr zu Ende, BWV 28. It is here presented as an arrangement for brass quintet by Ralf Lentschat.

"The Prodigal Son" – Biblical scene after Luke chapter 15 for organ, piano and percussion.

The the parable of the "Prodigal Son" told by Jesus in Luke 15 is presented musically in this composition. The organ here represents the attetude of the father, the piano illustrates the life of the son. The percussion accentuates and clarifies what happens.

The “Tre pezzi sacri“ (three sacred pieces) were originally composed as a commissioned work for mixed amateur choir. Considering that it was consitently held in traditional tonality. In the present version for male choir soprano part and alto part have to be performed by boy’s voices.

The “Tre pezzi sacri“ are formatwise similar to the “Agnus Dei” for seven-part mixed choir op. 40. Both compositions therefor work well for a combined performance with their mixed choir formation.

Alternative instrumental settings are published for Organ op. 31, for Symphony Orchestra op. 31a and for Symphonic Brass Orchestra op. 31b (see also versions for symphony orchestra / brass orchestra).
