Erik Satie's most famous composition are the Trois Gymnopédies for piano composed in 1888, three references to those dances of younglings in the ancient Sparta, who circle around a Apollon-Statue and dignified the falen troops of the battle of  Thyrea. These pieces are here presented as adaptions for 12 Cellists.
