The audio samples convey the three-dimensional perception of a BAS-recording . Despite the loss of quality due to the MP3 compression of the original material, the spatial experience is substantially preserved. This is particularly evident in the percussion demo (3), in which six drum sets are arranged around the listener.

You can achieve the full spatial experience with open/semi-open headphones. However, a good stereo system also provides a comparable listening experience.
