The "melody by Carl Friedrich Zeltner on the poem "Es war ein König in Thule" (There was a king in Thule) by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe was used by Felix Mendelsson Bartholdy in the 2nd movement of his 4th Symphony op. 90 as an homage to his teacher Zeltner. This second movement now serves as a template for the brass quintet Ralf Lentschat.
